The dropping communion wafer has some definite theological implications, depending upon your belief regarding the nature of the host (body, bread, or my Lutheran middle view). I'm assuming this was a Roman Catholic service, and that the priest was intent on rescuing the body. But perhaps it was something else.
PONDER-to weigh in the mind, to think about, reflect on.
